No doubt the 1986 roster was the more impressive.

Ya gotta remember that back then you made money on house shows. Making money on a house show......today that's almost impossible.

I gotta believe back then the talent was higher maybe not so much in the athletism but in general. The names on that roster which by the way great job Old Schooler on the list were IMO hall of famers. I would take any of those guys and put them in the ring with todays stars and be confident they would come out on top. I would love to see "the spirit squad" wrestle the Funk Brothers if would be a laugher, I would really like to see Triple H vs Paul Orndorff that would really get my interest but again Id go with a young Orndorff, and there are so many others Id love to see. But IMO the old school WWF is a much better product than whats out there today.

I'm just picturing Jesse The Body obliterating Chris Masters....or better yet....Ricky Steamboat overwhelming Carlito. 20 years ago was a great time to be a fan...too bad wrestling has gone down the spiral it has.

I say 1986. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but it just seemed more fun.

I guess it's unanimous, but what makes it interesting is that 1987, the year after, was the year when all that talent began to depart. The roster of 1989 looks far different than that of 1986, though I'd still take that roster over today's any day.

1986 is much better than today's talent roster.
