Once considered the future of TNA, Monty Brown has lost considerable face with TNA management in recent months, as evidenced by the fact that he lost his King Of The Mountain qualifier to Ron Killings (who happens to be in good graces with TNA higher-ups).
TNA officials are very disappointed that Brown continues to put his personal training business above the wrestling industry. The company has been pushing for Brown to work more indy shows as a way to improve his in-ring skills, but the effort has seen little success.
Many are also souring on Brown’s promo ability, which is described as very cartoonish. Management has no faith in his ability to speak for more than two minutes without running out of catchphrases.
