Repo.............a title shot??? Maybe at the women's title if he dropped a hundred pounds.............. Oh I don't know. They could have set up and angle were he reposed one of the Titles (IC or World Title) claiming the champion hadn't kept up there payments on it. And then the champion would have had to grant him a title shot to try and get the title back.

Yeah he would. Repo steals the Million $ Belt. So to get back at Repo, Dibiase hires every other repo guy in Repo Man's home town to take everything Repo owns, house included. So to get it all back, the belt goes up for grabs in a match.

"Virgil" as Ted DiBiase's bodyguard was an inside rib on Dusty, but according to Dusty, the polka dots were his own idea.
I read somewhere that the horrible Akeem gimmick they gave One Man Gang was also a rib on Dusty.
As for Harley Race, he says he was actually honored that they made him "The King" in the twilight of his career.
I thought Doink (Matt Borne) was great as the psychotic, evil clown. When they turned the character face (and Borne was replaced), it went down the toilet.
Worst by far, IMO, is the Red Rooster.

The polka dots on Dusty Rhodes were terrible and I never understood why he would even want to wear them. But as for Harley Race the man certainly deserved the title the king because he was no doubt one of the greats ever to step in the ring. I loved Doink I thought his character was really humorous.

Doink worked best when he was The Sick and Twisted "Evil" Clown. The whole pyscotic aspect of the character, the way his expersions and moods would change so quickly from happy laughing clown to that of a brooding and menicing persona henhcnaced by that creepy entrance theme he used to have. Mixed in with the in ring ability of Maat Borne and to a some what lesser exten Ray Apolo (as The Face Doink) all made for a very intresting mid card Heel Character.
However as a Face I feel Doink became nothing more then comic relife. Still entertaining but just not as good.

I agree the evil Doink was pretty cool but the face Doink was silly and never should have been created. But there is one person who I thought should have dropped the their character alot sooner and that was Golddust I hated that character. I remember when he went to WCW as Dustin which I know it wasnt as I guess contreversial but I thought it was a really ridiculous gimmick.

Wow, Doink the Clown (Matt Borne / Big Josh) got 2 votes? Lol. He was never a Superstar or anything special so his character definitely didn't hold him back, in fact, it made him at least something, but something not good in my opinion. I never liked watching Doink at all.
Repo a Title, lol, yeah right. But good idea Ricky and Alpha, that would of actually worked maybe and been interesting.
Harley Race as the King and Heenan promoting that to make all the other Wrestlers acknowledge it (which they did) I think worked well and was actually really funny at times, lol.

I would rather have seen Harley as a champion in the WWF then as the King, but at least to an extent his career was acknowledged.
