Who was your favorite persona right after Hogan, Flair, Warrior, and Savage drifted out of the spotlight (so before Stone Cold and The Rock)? Saying Bret Hart is tempting, but his ring work I think was what really made him stand out. His actual character I found adequate at best. I'm going to say Doink the Clown when Matt Borne played him. I thought this was the ultimate. All the folks accused wrestling of being a circus, so what does McMahon do? He brings in a clown. Second and third go to Jerry Lawler and Shawn Michaels, respectively.

In that era I barley bothered watching WWF as it was a pile of poope really Well, it wasn't the Glory Days, that's for sure, but there were some fascinating things going on. Raw, for sure. Also, the interpromotional trading with the U.S.W.A. and Smoky Mountain Wrestling. The reduction in steroid-fed monsters and the pushing of a more wrestling-oriented product. If you really want a pile of poop, check out W.C.W. in 1993. I thought that was the worst pile of crap I'd ever seen in that organization. Then came 1994.
