It is well-docomeented that Spike TV wants TNA to bring in bigger names to strengthen its credibility with casual wrestling fans. In fact, sources say TNA's failure to sign another marquee name is the reason it did not receive the Monday night special on 2/13.
Members of TNA have reached out to Bret Hart, Chris Jericho and The Rock in recent months, although no deals are anywhere near being signed.
At this point, a Chris Jericho debut appears unlikely. During the two parties' discussions, it became clear that Chris Jericho wants "Sting money" in order to join the TNA roster, and the wrestling company has no intention to offer him that much.
Following discussions with Bret Hart, however, Jeff Jarrett is optimistic that "Hitman" will eventually make appearances for TNA.
Jeff Jarrett recently consulted The Rock for "product advice" - appearing for TNA was not discussed in that meeting. Nonetheless, it is possible that TNA might eventually extend an offer to The Rock, although the odds of Rock even considering an appearance for TNA are not very good.

Chris Jericho was always high on himself, and he want's "Sting" money, lol, first you have to be as good as him. Jericho was a decent Wrestler (same as Christian), but never a main eventer like Sting, the Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, etc. He would be a nice addition, but not at a high price.
TNA would finally be "in the game" if that were able to bring in the Rock. I would really like to see him in TNA. It would totally take them to the next level instead of signing all these mid carder former WWE Wrestlers, mostly being light weights too.
I don't understand, before they did sign big name, big wrestlers, main eventers like Randy Savage and Scott Hall, but not anymore? Why not? Why not even Scott Steiner, he still Wrestles and is in a new Italian Wrestling League (see Indy Wrestling Folder).

Jericho was a decent Wrestler (same as Christian). Jericho was and is much better and several steps above Christian in my opinion.

Well i've always supported the underdogs of wrestling. The guys who nobody thought they could make the bigtime and get main event status like Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Christian etc.
I believe Jericho & Christian have that main-event status which is not just based on their wrestling ability but also on their charismatic personality. It's great to see Christian getting a nice push in TNA and i hope they make him carry the NWA Championship very soon cause he definitely deserves it. It would be another huge blow for WWE if Jericho heads to TNA but i suppose as long as he's happy that's all that matters.

I'd have to agree with ice on Jericho - and in my opinion hes a very very mediocre worker in the ring - too one dimensional in my eyes and he's unable to alter how he works no matter the opponent.

Yeah Amber, I'll give you that, he is better than Christian and I do like Jericho more than Christian, but he shouldn't be the highest paid Wrestler in TNA or getting "Sting" type money, lol.
