Bound for Glory thoughts

Probably one of the top five overal PPVs of the year, simple as that. The Free-For-All match was even a great match.

Diamonds in the Rough finally got a win as a team, which hopefully is a good sign for them. They all have talent in the ring, so maybe they'll get a chance to actually prove that.

The Samoa Joe entrance was off the chains! Added more depth to Joe's character, in my opinion. I kinda knew Jushin was gonna job to him, 'cuz that's the kinda guy he is. It was short, but sweet. Much love to Lyger!

AMW is gonna get theirs sooner or later. I wanted Team 3-D to come out to get revenge, but it wouldn't happen. AMW retains...BOOOO.

Monster's Ball II...a lotta holy sh*t moments. Jeff Hardy doin' a Swanton from on top of the entrance stage....Abyss throwin' Sabu stomach first onto a table...Rhino winning with a piledriver from the top rope. A lot of violence, a lot of blood. Overall, a decent match that gave Rhino a lot of steam

The Ironman II match...talk about a freakin' nailbiter!!! The two guys literally went to the last ten seconds without a fall. AJ hit the Styles' Clash at eight seconds, and got the pinfall with two seconds to go. OMG...dude, I think AJ actually started crying! LOL But it was a great match!

The ten-man gauntlet to determine a number-one contender for Jarrett's World title was a bit odd. Lance Storm, Monty Brown, Kip James, all four guys from Monster's Ball II, Samoa Joe, Ron Killings, and freakin' AJ Styles were in it!! Kip James was the freshest guy, since he hadn't wrestled all night, and Joe and Killings were the next fresh. Even Monty and Lance were somewhat fresh...but Rhino, Sabu, Jeff Hardy, Abysss, and AJ?! Those guys were so torn to pieces, but they came out there and wrestled for an additional ten minutes! And the shocker: RHINO WON!!!

The main event...WTF?! Rhino wrestles two matches, gets into the main event, and wins the World Heavyweight title?! It was great, 'cuz I sure don't want Jarrett as World champion, but...come on, three matches in one night. Eh, if anybody could pull it off, it was Rhino. Team 3-D also chose to return after this match was over, which was a great ending to an awesome PPV. Surprisingly absent, though, was Raven.

Overall Grade: A+
I don't think I've seen a bad TNA PPV yet. I've been lucky, I guess. I can't wait 'til Genesis, baby!

Nice, sounds like a great PPV. The Monster's Ball sounded tight. I like the Gauntlet idea for the winner facing Jarrett for the title a lot too. Great creative idea after Nash going down. TNA is thinking and trying to made a good thing, I respect that a lot. Pretty cool they had a new winner, Rhino too. No Raven, what's going on? He isn't really on the TNA Impacts either.

Oh, and Lance Storm wrestled? How'd he look? Nice, he was great, and still surprised he retired at such a young age? Anybody know if he's coming back or this was simply a one shot deal? I would guess a one shot, but he would sure be a nice boost to TNA.

Bound for Glory was great. That was probably their best PPV yet. I liked Rhino winning the title, although it would have been nice for Raven to at least have been in a match. I thought Monty Brown was gonna win the guantlet until he was eliminated first, and the Monsters Ball was amazing!

I watched Bound For Glory and I have to say overall it was a good show. I think it actually made for a better show that Nash wasn't wrestling because I don't think a Nash/Jarrett main event would have been a good match and it helped add suspense to the PPV because the people watching didn't know who would be challenging for the title.

The first match was the four way X Division match and it was on the "free"(preshow) part of the PPV. If anyone did get to see this match free I think it made some people watching actually decided to pay to watch the rest of the PPV because the match was a good match. The wrestlers in this match really showed what the X Division is all about. Shelly and Strong had some good technical moves and Dutt and Aries really showcased their high flying skills.

The Joe/Liger match was a good match and I was surprised that Joe defeated Liger. Joe overpowered Liger and had most of the offense in the match. It wasn't a squash match but Joe had most of the offense in the match. I was surprised that New Japan would let Liger lose to Joe since Liger is a legend in Japan. Joe defeating Liger will establish Joe as a future star in pro wrestling.

I was expecting the Diamonds in the Rough match to be terrible because hey let's face it any match that David Young is in doesn't seem like it would be a good match but it was actually an okay six man tag match with alot of action. It wasn't a good match but it wasn't a terrible match. Another six man tag match at Bound For Glory was the 3LK/Team Canada match and it was another okay match. It was great but it wasn't terrible. The Monty Brown/Lance Hoyt match was another okay match.

The Ultimate X match was a good match with some good spots and good action but the ending was terrible. The Ultimate X was one of the main matches at Bound For Glory and the point of the match was to have to climb across and get the X but the X literally fell right into Petey's hand so it was pointless to have the X hanging from the wires. I understand that there's no alot that TNA could do about it when it's a live PPV but just from a match quality point of view the ending of the match was terrible.

The tag title match was a good match but it was basically the same match from Impact. Andy Douglas was out of the match and Chase Stevens was hit with a bottle. TNA is building an AMW/Team 3D feud for the titles but I think TNA should still have The Naturals on t.v. because they were getting a push to become an established tag team. The Naturals/Team Canada feud could be a good feud and possibly The Naturals/Team 3D feud could be good feud.

The Monster's Ball match was a great match and all of the wrestlers in the match did a great job in what could be match of the night for the PPV. Jeff Hardy runs around the ring with paint on his face looking like an idiot but I will give Hardy credit because the Swanton Bomb from the stage was INSANE. I thought Hardy was going to hit the stage because of how far he had to jump to hit the tables. Hardy's Swanton Bomb from the stage was definitely the highlight of the match. Abyss deserves credit for taking the move and not just moving out of the way because it takes guts to take the move from the stage through a table. Sabu was also good in this match and his high flying moves added alot to the match. Rhino winning the match helped set up and add to the storyline later in the night when he won the gauntlet because it added to the NWA title match with people wondering if Rhino could win three matches in one night.

The Iron man match was good but it could have been better. It seemed like the match didn't really get going until the last ten minutes of the match. A Styles/Joe feud for the X Division title could be a good feud.

The NWA title match was a good match because there was a build up to the match during the PPV and it was a good surprise that Rhino won the title. I was expecting Jarrett to retain the title but I think it's good Rhino won the title because it could establish Rhino as a main event wrestler.

Overall I think Bound For Glory was a good show and it will be interesting to see what happens in TNA in the next few months because TNA could eventually be able to compete with WWE.
