Impact 1/21/05: Shannon Moore vs AJ StylesOk, well first off I thought CM Punk and Shannon Moore were the same person. They call Shannon the Prince or King of Punk, C not sure what it stand for and M could of been for Moore, and Shannon is a Punk right. Well just found out they are 2 different people. I like Shannon Moore as a Punk, he really seems like he changed his career from the days of the WWE and WCW which I never even noticed him and probably thought he was a jobber, was he or did anybody like him back then? Kind of like a Dennis Rodman change, but it worked I think and I like Shannon Moore so far, he's got a cool look and style. Anway pretty cool match between him and AJ Styles, a Hardcore Match with no rules I think it was. They both had a few pretty good moves. Shannon had a nice suplex outside the ring suplexing AJ over the Steel Rail into the crowd, good stuff. The Fallen Angel later distracted AJ and at one time threw in the towel for him (lol) because he was losing to a submission move. Well the bottem line is Shannon won, a great way for him to start his TNA career I think. I like it, good deal. Sting wasn't on the show, great idea, lets really drag Sting entering TNA and have him Wrestle once every 2 months, come on already, just make him a regular and let's have some good matches. Anybody have any thoughts about Impact?

I've always thought that Shannon Moore was great. WWE never really gave him a chance. He was pretty much always just a jobber. He had some shining moments, I guess you could call them, but too few and far between. He deserves better than that and I think he will be able to prove it in TNA.
As far as him being the Prince of Punk, well that's pretty much him all the time I think. Maybe not quite so extreme. I'm pretty sure that it's just an exaggeration of who he really is, which I really like, because I think when a wrestler's character is like that, it all seems more real.
I didn't see the match. I haven't been watching TNA lately, because I don't ever remember it's on until it's too late. I definitely want to get better about that, because it seems as if I missed a pretty good match.

Cool, thanks Amber, I guess he does have potential then but sounds like he never got the push. I think his image changing is a big addition, before he just looked like an average Wrestler I take it, also weighted a lot less. Kinda like the 123 Kid before he became X-Pac, then a star because of that ya know.
Yeah you should check out TNA more, it was a pretty cool match and great start for Shannon Moore. I usually catch the reply which is after RAW (which I don't usually watch) on Monday Night's at Midnight. You could always record it too you know.
