# According to several sources, plans for a live TNA special on Spike TV for Monday 2/13 are off. Spike TV made the decision to not move forward about a week ago. I was told that TNA was willing and ready to produce the special as they saw what a major opportunity it would have been.
The proposed special, which would have been live the day after TNA's February PPV, would have fallen on the same evening WWE's Monday Night Raw will be preempted by the USA Network for the Westminster Dog Show. It now appears 2/13 will be the first Monday evening in several years with no professional wrestling programming on cable television.
According to a source at Spike TV, the decision not to produce the special was due to "logistical reasons" and future TNA specials (live or taped) are still being discussed for the future.

What I heard was that Spike didn't have the confidence in TNA for a 2 hour live show yet, and, with it being the day after Against All Odds, they thought a taped special would be too rushed.

I think it would be a wise move on Spike TV's part to have a TNA live event the same time as RAW, if for nothing else, to see how the two stack up together.
Not necessarily that week, but just any week.

Sounds like it could of been a great idea, especially since RAW wouldn't of been on that week. They would have had the chance to gain more fans that wanted to see Wrestling on Mondays. Looks like they'll be watching the Dog Show instead.
