NEW YEAR’S DAY TNA “IMPACT!” RESULTS

Christian Cage counted down the New Year as it became year 2006! The confetti was flying all over the place and Mike Tenay was in the ring with Christian Cage as he announced that the newest member of the Total Nonstop Action roster is former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, the man they call Sting! Christian Cage though had news the one upped Mike Tenay and that was a match signed for Final Resolution. The main event is going to be NWA World Heavyweight Champion, “The King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett & “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown vs. “Captain Charisma” Christian Cage & Sting!

Jeff Jarrett immediately came down as we rang in the New Year. Jarrett said that the war is going to be won by Planet Jarrett with his army that he has built ever so gigantic at the moment. Jarrett told Christian that he will never ever climb to the top of the mountain because he simply does not have what it takes to get there. Christian responded that Jarrett finally grew a set of nuts and that he wasn’t tired of verbally abusing him so his new year’s resolution was to start physically abusing him; so he did, but Monty Brown came to help Jarrett. So Rhino then came to help Christian Cage, however the army of Planet Jarrett in America’s Most wanted came followed by Team 3D, it was an all out war with the battle lines drawn!

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:
CHAMPIONS, AMERICA’S MOST WANTED vs. AJ STYLES & CHRISTOPHER DANIELS
It was now time for the first championship match of the year in the first match of the year! While the crowd was definitely on the side of AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, one could only hope that no one else would get involved with this match. James Storm and Christopher Daniels started this out, and it was Daniels with the control coming out smoking hot. AJ immediately was in the ring with a quick arm drag onto Chris Harris then hitting him with a drop kick. AJ and Daniels also did a double arm drag to James Storm, then sending all of AMW out of the ring. They were in full control early in this one. AJ Styles and The Fallen Angel continued this dominant streak and received a couple of near falls. Daniels even catapulted himself off the ropes for a moonsault onto James Storm. That received a near fall so later on, Daniels decided to hit off something bigger, the BME! It was an attempted onto Chris Harris just after AJ had taken the Catatonic. Harris avoided the BME as Storm lined up a Super Kick onto Daniels. It wasn’t over though, AJ was back alive with a reversed roll up then into The Styles Clash for the pin but the referee was knocked out during the confusion. Shannon Moore then came in and cost the match for AJ and Daniels as America’s Most Wanted won the match, once again the numbers were against AJ Styles.

Pretty cool Christian and TNA counted down the New Year, good idea and good idea to have a show at Midnight. I wanted to record/watch it but it didn't work out.

Lol, really Sting still didn't come out yet, lol. Well at least he finally has a match lined up after a month long hype of him.

I would of thought it would of been really cool and neat to have AJ and the Fallen Angel as Tag-Team Champions for a little bit. I guess TNA thought otherwise, lol.

Sweet, thanks for the results. I saw the hour earlier in the night, but missed the count down as my VCR decided to crap out on me. It's pretty lame how Sting has yet to actually show his face in TNA, and yet still change the face of the industry.

While I can see that AJ and Daniels could be very dominate tag champs, I think it was the right move to keep the belts on AMW. With Jarretts new army, they need to keep a strangle hold on the company for a while before Jeff and AMW both drop the straps on the same night in the somewhat distant future.

I don't think any Wrestler in any league has been talked about or mentioned that much that we had to wait so long to see, lol.

I guess I just don't like AMW at all let alone being the champs, and think AJ and Angel would be a nice mix and cool going from enemies to tag-team champs. Kinda like the Mega Powers with Hogan and Macho, but obviously not as big stars and lightweights (X-Divison), but would still be cool.

Your probably right too, I think Jarrett and AMW when they both finally lose the belts it will be at the same time. To Sting and Team 3D?

Yeah I think the tag straps'll go to 3D, and although Sting will no doubt hold the NWA title, I hope it goes to Christian when Sting's year is up.
