OFFICIAL TNA “IMPACT!” RESULTS
Saturday, December 24, 2005 – Orlando, FL
By: Marcus Cygy
And welcome everyone to this week’s edition of iMPACT! as it emanated from the IMPACT Zone at Universal Studios on the Eve of Christmas!
The show opened with Mrs. Traci Clause and Santa Clause coming down to the ring. Just as Santa and Traci got in the ring, Christian Cage immediately made his way down to the ring to have a little fun as only Captain Charisma can. Christian told Santa that he better have had his present to which Santa did and when Christian opened the present they were white pants just like Jeff Jarrett’s. You know you can’t wear them after Labor Day as Christian taught us a while back. Christian then went on to say that he was going to continue making himself look like a World Champion so he put on a blonde wig, some yellow tinted glasses, and a shirt that read “Don’t Piss Me Off” just so he could have a money made slogan. That’s when Jarrett and The Alpha Male hit the ring. Christian strutted and mocked Jarrett on his way out as Sting’s music played throughout.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Backstage was Christopher Daniels as he prepared for his in-ring return after being put out of action by Samoa Joe at Genesis. The Fallen Angel told us that he has never backed down from a fight, nor will his match at Final Resolution be any different. He’s going to Final Resolution with a final goal, he’s going to shatter Joe’s era of winning and break the streak.
“FALLEN ANGEL” CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. ERIC YOUNG
Right to begin with, Alex Shelley came down with his camera to evaluate the return of Christopher Daniels. Shannon Moore was also seen back on top of the stage at the highest point of the arena just like last week. In the ring, Daniels had a great start; he hit an STO in the opening minutes to receive a near fall. Shannon Moore then held his sign up again this week, which read that the X-Division needed to be punk’d. Back in the ring, Christopher Daniels hit an inzegurri followed by the BME. That was all she wrote, kid you not, Scott D’Amore was there to cause the momentary delay of course… but after that slight delay, The Fallen Angel delivered the Angels Wings to finish of the gospel.
Winner: Christopher Daniels
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Backstage was “Bullet” Bob Armstrong along with BG James and Kip James. Bob said that what happened at Turning Point was sheer disappointment, but he said it was going to be fixed. BG and Kip had their doubts about that, but they’re going to give Bob a chance to fix this situation.
“THE MONSTER” ABYSS vs. CHRIS SABIN
Sabin was giving up a lot of weight and power for this one by going up against Abyss but knowing him, he was going to relish over this and prove why he’s a top contender in TNA and he sure did prove his unofficial claim. He brought the punch to Abyss so to speak with nice rights and lefts in the opening minutes followed with drop kicks. He used his speed and quickness to overpower Abyss in that field. Just when Dave Hebner was seen ringside at the top of the stage taking notes of the match, Sabin was taken upside down by the legs and swung multiple times into the steel steps. Once action was taken to the corner of the ring, Sabin was hit by almost like a wall of brinks. Sabin’s head was then being twisted and contorted by The Monster with Mitchell looking on with approval. Sabin had more offense in but it wasn’t enough when Abyss delivered a Black Hole Slam for the win.
Winner: Abyss
COMMERCIAL BREAK
RON “THE TRUTH” KILLINGS vs. KENNY KING
Kenny King started this one out by jumping the gun and getting in offense. It wasn’t too long though until Ron Killings hit off a missile drop kick from the top rope shortly thereafter followed with a left lariat, then a slam suplex. The Truth then hit the Axe Kick for the victory.
Winner: Ron Killings
“Bullet” Bob Armstrong was then at the top of the stage with a microphone, but before he could talk, Ron Killings got on the mic and reiterated that he was done and moving on.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
A video package aired of Raven of the events leading up to his match at Final Resolution, ultimately proclaiming his new destiny to regain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship would indeed be happening whether Zbyszko likes it or not.
“CAPTAIN CHARISMA” CHRISTIAN CAGE vs. “WILDCAT” CHRIS HARRIS
Right away James Storm was sent to the back by referee Rudy Charles and it was on! Though Gail Kim was still ringside and she definitely played her part during the match by giving Chris Harris the upper hand whenever she could. The two competitors traded off in a series of moves during this special Christmas Eve edition of iMPACT! and then soon after, Gail Jim got involved once again by choking Cage on the rope, however the backfired. Harris charged towards Christian and he dodged. Christian then got fired back up by slapping his chest and taking Harris down with punches and then a spinning heel kick. Christian Cage then enabled Harris to feel a Swinging DDT from the turnbuckle, but Gail wasn’t enabling Christian to win just yet as she held Christians foot giving Harris a chance to suplex off the top rope but instead Christian Cage pushed Harris down and then attempted a Frogsplash but it was missed. Harris then hit off a full nelson slam for a near fall. Gail Kim was back in the swing of things with a momentary distraction but that backfired as Cage hit off a reversed DDT, but for only a near fall pin. The referee though noticed that Harris had hand cuffs in his hands so he took them away and then it was Gail trying to steel those hand cuffs and that allowed James Storm for the run in with the NWA World Tag Team Title to lay out Christian. Chris Harris then covered but Christian Cage kicked out! Ultimately in the end, Christian Cage first cleaned house and then delivered the Unprettier for the win.
Winner: Christian Cage
After the match it was the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Jarrett just going absolute livid on Christian Cage in the ring. Just when Christian thought he out smarted Jarrett by getting out of the ring, Monty Brown came down and blind-sided Christian, as now was the main course of this livid assault. It was a total destruction; they even put him on top of the broadcast table and beat him with a steel chair there. Jarrett was yelling “Merry Christmas” to Christian Cage during this as the conclusion was a Pounce to Christian by Monty Brown, followed with The Stroke from Jeff Jarrett with Christian’s face going straight into the NWA World Heavyweight Title on the ground.
We’ll see you next week when TNA ends 2005 and begins 2006 in the world of professional wrestling! Two shows in one night!

Actually the beginning of Impact was pretty cool and funny. Traci looked nice in a Miss Santa outfit, then again what brunette with a tight body and long dark hair with high black boots wouldn't? Lol. Cool skit where Christian got presents from Santa and his presents were the same cloths Jeff Jarrett wears, lol. Christian even wore a blonde Jarrett wig and did Jarrett's dance. Pretty good stuff, lol.
Still waiting for Sting though.
