Do you guys think the W.W.F. experienced a change in overall atmosphere when there was a big shakeup in the announcing booth? Did the departures of Bruno Sammartino, Jesse Ventura, Bobby Heenan, and even Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross for a short time influence the overall enjoyment of the product?

I think it shook things up alittle when JR left mainly because he was a facet in the announcers table. Anytime you lose a great announcer its gonna have an affect on the product somewhat.

Certainly
The trio of Vince McMahon,Jesse Ventura and Bruno Sammartino on Superstars Of Wrestling was unbeatable,Jesse would constantly point out Vince and Bruno's biased face commentary, add to that Ken Resnick and Craig DeGeorge were replaced by Shaun Mooney, part of the enjoyment of wrestling was the commentary

Point taken. That was a magical trio. One wrestling legend, one wrestling maverick, and one wrestling entrepeneur who was a bit of a maverick himself.

Yeah, and I think Jerry Lawler is proof of that, too. I can't speak of his work the last five years because I haven't watched, but from 1992 - 2000, he was really sharp on the mic. Obviously, though, the Sammartino - Ventura - Monsoon magic still rules, to me.
