Impact 10/2/05: Jeff Jarrett vs Team 3-D
Well the first televised TNA Impact has finally arrived here in the US. It was pretty cool to see TNA, a new Wrestling Alternative. It felt like the good days when WCW was around.
I did wish though and thought it would be like a Pay-Per View with all top matches throughout it. So I was disappointed when AJ Styles and others simply went against jobbers. What, no Sabu, Jeff Jarrett, Christopher Daniels, or Raven matches? Come on now, they are some of the top Wrestlers there in my opinion. Raven and Sabu weren't even in the Promo either, kinda weird. Raven still getting no respect. At least they had one good match on Impact though:
Jeff Hardy vs Rhino. It was decent. But the best part of it was when Sabu game out at the end and kicked some butt like he knows how to do (Abyss came out too).
Jeff Jarrett came out and told the world he is the Heavyweight Champ (with America's Most Wanted). This was probably the best part of the show because this is what TNA is about and other Stars came out. 3LW with Konnan and Road Dogg came out, they started throwing down. They don't really seem to like Jarrett and his posse that much for some reason and it didn't take much for them to get in the ring. After that was done the Dudleys "Team 3-D" came out making their TNA debut and kicked butt on all. That was cool. Then Jarrett slipped out of the ring before the Dudleys could give him a "3-D" which the other Wrestlers all suffered already. So Jarrett leaves the ring and guess who comes out? Big Kevin Nash, nice. They get Jarrett back in the ring and Nash congratulates Jarrett for being the Champion by giving him a "Jack Knife" (Power Bomb), which was nice of him. Good way to finish TNA's first Impact.
Anybody have any thoughts on their first show?
