I've been hearing about this guy Samoa Joe who wrestles in TNA and other Indy leagues (ROH). I never saw him. Is this guy really good and do you like him?

this guy "Samoa Joe"?? It's all good...I was the same way up until about two months ago. I saw clips of him from ROH, and was like, "What's the big deal? His promos aren't all that good, and yeah, he can throw a couple submission moves together..." But then, I saw him wrestle in TNA... It boggles my mind how fast and agile he is, and how much of a brute he can be. There are times when I actually have to turn my head (like right before he does his finishing move, the "Muscle Buster"...basically, he has the guy upsidedown on his shoulders, holding the guys' legs apart, then he drops down on his back, essentially bustin' up the guy's muscles), 'cuz he's a bit too hardcore for me. And, the quickness with which he puts on submission move after submission move, and have it all make complete and total sense...yeah, Samoa Joe is pretty great.

Nice, well thanks for the info you 2. He sounds worth watching. Maybe I'll catch him on TNA sometime when it's on TV (which is soon).

Only the WWE doesn't share its wrestlers with other companies. The smaller, more independent wrestling organizations, though, can't afford to keep their wrestlers within that one organization. And the wrestlers themselves can't afford to work for just one league. By working with different leagues, a wrestler can not only get experience, but publicity for both organizations. That's just my take on it, and i have *no idea* if I'm right...just seems that way.

Yeah, I hear ya and that does make sense what your saying. I'm glad the Indy leagues are around and gives hope to the "small business" sorta speak, I respect them a lot. Do wish though that a few of them mergered to be one big one to compete with the WWE. I don't mean TNA because they are already good enough. I guess I just miss the days of 3 Magor leagues: WWE, WCW, and ECW. And hate that the WWE has all the "Power" in Wrestling, doesn't seem right to me.

You're not the only fan that feels that way. Three wrestling companies meant that there was somethin' different offered by each one each show. You didn't have to tune in to just one. You could watch ECW for the outrageously hardcore stuff, WWE for the somewhat hardcore, yet still entertaining stuff, and WCW for the toned-down, somewhat family-oriented stuff. Now, you have to hope that WWE can hit all three o' those points...sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
There are Indy shows around me all the time. A few o' my friends go and come back each time sayin' what a blast it was. Actually Jimmy "Boogie-Woogie Man" Valiant has a wrestling school about 30 minutes away from me. I should stop by sometime...LOL
