I think ECW is pretty much dead at this point. i stopped watching it long ago because i just got sick of seeing the same main event every week and basically the same 5 or 6 people every week.

when it comes to ECW you cant have a question of "who is ECW" because, what i see as, 2 reasons. 1: This ISN'T the ECW, its a 'carbon-copy' version of the Extreme Championship Wrestling, i mean even Eastern Championship Wrestling was better then this re-production of it. 2: It has no 'significance' to it, as it is basically a couple of "originals" and a large amount of WWE/SD! wrestlers. this is just sadly another attempt at Vince to market off of something that he did NOT create. i.e. nWo, WCW, ECW, Goldberg phenomenon, Stone Cold persona, Outsiders even Gillberg for crying out loud. So when he does come up with an 'original' idea, it purely stinks or its just for sheer shock value like: DX - (which is just half of the Kliq in my books), Incest story lines, bastard son story lines, and shock/gay marriages... Even the Brock Lesner 'destructive' storyline he couldn't make work cause it was just a 'Goldberg wannabe character'. phew, now I can breathe  |

ECW aint CM Punk. I have the feeling for CM Punk to advance in his career, he'll move on to RAW, or SmackDown. He has already been ECW Champ, and has nothing left to prove on the ECW Brand.

When i think of ECW (and this is the original one) i think of the Van Dams, the Funks, the Dreamers Even the Heymans. There are many more to this list. But in no way do I picture ECW with anything to do with Punk, Estrada. Yadayadayada....
I think and remember the guys who would break there necks for this life and business.
There my rant for the day. lol

The real ECW died (RIP) 8 years ago now. The arbortion that now goes by that name is just another one of Vinces monumental f**k ups. It makes me so sad to see what he has done with the most original wrestling company of the last 20 years. It is now just another run of the mill WWE program. Shame on you Vince for reserecting the name and giving us all hope and then (as usual) snatching it away and feeding us some third rate watered down cack!
