Monty Brown's name change was a Vince McMahon decision. Basically, he wanted to own his name. Head ECW writer Dave Lagana argued that it would hurt his debut if they gave him a new name, especially considering that fans are familar with his name and they wouldn't be able to use the football footage they have on him. After a backstage battle between Vince McMahon and Lagana over what Brown should be called, Vince's "Marquis Cor Von" won out since, ultimately, it comes down to him. Interestingly, one of Vince's reasonings for the name change was that he didn't want anyone to Google the name 'Monty Brown' and discover information on TNA.
Also, head RAW writer Brian Gewirtz pitched to get Brown on his show, but Vince wanted him in ECW. In regards to Brown's future plans, they plan on building him up as an opponent for Bobby Lashley. They also plan on changing the name of 'The Pounce' to something else.
Hardcore Holly has nerve damage in his arm. There is no word at this time on how long he will be out. That explains why he didn't appear on Tuesday's episode of ECW after ending CM Punk's winning streak the week before. Holly had problems with the arm as recently as a year ago as he was hospitalized after an infection developed in an arm wound. The infection was possibly career threatening as doctors were worried at one point that the arm may have to be amputated. He eventually recovered and returned to action a few months later.

I say this is a sign for Holly to just hang up the boots and retire. He's had numerous injuries these last few years, he isn't getting any younger and lets be honest, there isn't anything else for him to do in WWE.
He's never really had a strong fan base, plus he's never made it to the top. He's always been settled to Mid-card. He's had a good run but now i think it's time to accept that it's come to an end
