As reported earlier, Rob Van Dam's WWE contract will be expiring in a few months. News is now coming out that he is legitimately expressing interest in leaving WWE for TNA and the independent circuit when his contract ultimately expires.
RVD was openly talking about it during the weekend of the ECW PPV, asking people if it was a good idea. Especially after some fans at the ECW PPV were chanting for him to go to TNA. Furthermore, several people said that his wife Sonya, who was in attendance at the PPV, was chanting "TNA" along with some other fans. As things stand now, the belief is that he won't sign a new contract with WWE, but things can always change.
RVD feels that Vince McMahon wouldn't allow the ECW belt to be put back on him because he thinks he's still being punished for his pot bust back in July. RVD thinks he did his time. Also, RVD's refusal to go on the Iraq trip probably didn't help matters, even though it was technically voluntary.

Good for RVD, I hope he leaves the Evil Empire, the "WWE", for TNA. Sabu should go back to TNA too. TNA was great/better when they had the Franchise, Raven, and Sabu in it, then it was the closest thing to ECW. The Dudleys being there is also a good thing of course.

I am not a huge fan of RVD, but I think him going to TNA would be a smart move on his part. WWE has never seemed very interested in really pushing RVD, even though he is one of their most popular stars. I think Van Damm would fit much better in TNA.

TNA really has blossomed and IMO will really have Vince on his toes reeling.

TNA really has blossomed and IMO will really have Vince on his toes reeling. Yeah, TNA is gratually getting there. Vince probably hated to see Kurt join TNA, lol. Still just makes you think how strong WCW was and ashame their not there anymore, and now we wait year after year for TNA to hopefully get to WCW's level, even by getting some of their Wrestlers. Just wish WCW was still around, lol. Still suprised they folded.

I think Kurt going to TNA was huge for them and shows how they are determined to put up a fight when it comes to ratings. IMO right now TNA has the better talent but the timeslot is not one most people will watch.

RVD in WWE has run its course. The WWE has begun to become bland and are seemingly afraid of creative ideas. That's like a hungry man being afraid to eat but anyway, not my point. RVD in TNA would be great, especially if Sabu goes with him and they get there tag team back going and feud with the Dudleys... there is a million ideas they could come up with for RVD... WWE did not capitalize on having RVD and therefore don't deserve him.

RVD in TNA would be awesome to see him go for X-Division title or the NWA World Title.
