This week for That's my story and I'm sticking to it I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at ECW December to Dismember.
If you read that you're probably thinking "How are you going to write a column about predicting the winners of two matches"? and that's a good question. Since there's only two matches officially announced I'll tell you who I think is going to win those matches and about some of the matches that are rumored to be at the PPV. I think one of the reasons only two matches have been announced is the lack of wrestlers being given a push on the ECW roster. That could be why the WWE is having two WWE teams wrestle at the PPV. There's also very few ECW wrestlers that have been given a solid push and there are some original ECW wrestlers that are jobbers. Danny Doring wrestled CM Punk and that was his only T.V. appearance. CW Anderson is another original ECW wrestler that has only made a few T.V. appearances. Franchine made a few ECW T.V. appearances but then she was released from the WWE. There are even some new ECW wrestlers that were given a lack luster push and now are jobbers. Shannon Moore and Kevin Thorn are examples of new stars that were given a lack luster push and are now jobbers. There's also not a mid card title to help push wrestlers and if there was a mid card title in the new ECW it might help establish some of the new stars.
The tag team match will be a good match but it doesn't make any sense that the match will be at the ECW PPV. The Hardy Boyz are Team Xtreme but a team name doesn't mean they should wrestle at an ECW PPV. Jeff Hardy is the IC champion and atleast if the Hardy Boyz are a tag team Matt Hardy won't be a jobber on Smackdown. It will be interesting to see if the Hardy Boyz continue to appear on the ECW T.V. show after the PPV because if the Hardy Boyz are a tag team atleast the show might be worth watching, It was said that MNM would return for the PPV and it's being reported on internet sites that after the PPV that Joey Mercury will be wrestling in ECW. That actually makes sense because during the later yeas of the original ECW Joey Matthews(Mercury) and Christain York were a tag team. MNM was a good team but I think it would be cool to see them return as a team for atleast a few months because even though they are three time WWE tag team champions they were the tag team champions when there weren't many legitimate teams on Smackdown. I think if they had another run as tag champions it could be better then the others title runs and I think it would be cool to see a MNM/Hardy Boyz feud for the WWE tag team titles.
One of the matches rumored to be at the PPV is The Sandman v.s. Hardcore Holly and it could be a good match or it could be a terrible match. If it's Extreme Rules it could be a good match and a brutal match but if it's WWE rules it will probably be a terrible match. I don't expect the match to be a thirty minute classic and I think The Sandman will win match.
Another match rumored to be at the PPV is Davri v.s. Tommy Dreamer and this is a match that should just be a rumor because Divari wrestling in ECW doesn't make sense. I wouldn't be surprised if the match is at the PPV because there's not alot that makes sense about the new ECW. If the match is at the PPV I think Davri will win the match because The Great Khali will probably interfere in the match. Dreamer is the heart of ECW and Dreamer knows that the new ECW isn't the original ECW. The new ECW is just another WWE brand and the new ECW is just trying to bury the original ECW. The One Night Stand PPVs and ECW DVDs were successful because the fans wanted hardcore wrestling. They wanted an extreme wrestling style and the fans wanted to see the original ECW. That's why it doesn't make sense that the WWE is trying to bury the original ECW. The ECW fans want to see The Sandman, Sabu, RVD, Tommy Dreamer, and the other original stars. ECW fans don't want watch Test, Mike Knox, and Matt Striker.
The Extreme Elimination Chamber match could be a good match and it will be interesting to see who wins the match. Sabu is in the match and Sabu is one of the most innovative wrestlers of all time but I don't think Sabu will win the match. Sabu already had a shot at the title and if he was going to win the title he probably would have won the title when he had a shot at the title. RVD is in the match and RVD winning the title would be a good decision because RVD winning the title could help ECW but I don't think RVD will win the match. CM Punk is wrestling in the match and CM Punk is a good wrestler but I don't think he will win the match. CM Punk has alot of wrestling ability but he's only been wrestling in ECW a few months and most of his matches have been squash matches. I don't think CM Punk will win the match but I think it's possible he might win the ECW title in the future. Test is in the match and it still doesn't make sense that he's wrestling in ECW. He wasn't good enough for Raw or Smackdown and he's wrestling in ECW. Test doesn't have wrestling ability and Test is a terrible wrestler. The Big Show is the ECW champion and I've mentioned before that The Big Show shouldn't be the ECW champion. Bobby Lashley was recently added to the ECW roster and has been getting a solid push since his ECW debut. I think Lashley will win the ECW title because he was recently added to the ECW roster and the Elimination Chamber match. I Lashley was added to the ECW roster because Batista is the World champion on Smackdown and Lashley could get a push to the title in ECW. I think Sabu, RVD, or CM Punk should win the title but I think Lashley will win the title. I think Lashley lacks the chrisima to become a main event wrestler and if he wins the title it will be interesting to see who will challenge for the title.
Overall I don't think December to Dismember will be worth the $40 it cost to watch the PPV.
Until next week
