Which Wrestler had the best Halloween Costume on Saturday Night's Main Event in 1985?
Really tough choices here actually, they were all great. The only one that wasn't good was Hulk Hogan's costume, it looked like he got it at Kiddy City.
I pick the Iron Sheik as "Batman".

From 1985's Saturday Night's Main Event, it was a Halloween special, it was great. There were a couple of other wrestlers that had costumes too like Tito Santana, Captain Lou Albano, and the Hillibillies. They competed in 3 funny competitions throughout the show too. It was the good guys against the bad guys and wrestlers represented their teams each time. A "Pie Eating" contest with King Kong Bundy vs Captain Lou Albano, an "Apple Bobbing" contest in chocolate with Cousin Jr. vs Bobby Heenan, and a team "Apple Passing" contest under the chin (in which Bobby Heenan cheated, it was funny). Mene Gene was the referee for it all. I actually have a tape that's all SNME and this is on it, I must of watched it 4 or 5 times, lol, it's classic, makes me laugh everytime seeing these contests and them in funny costumes, lol, the "Sheik" as Batman, wearing the head gear too, that's awesome, wish they would of done it again.

Oh COME ON. Nothing's better than Roddy Piper as Superman. I loved how the heels kept insanely cheating throughout the whole contest.

Does anyone have a nice copy of this on tape or DVD? I haven't seen it since it originally aired.

Does anyone have a nice copy of this on tape or DVD? I haven't seen it since it originally aired. I have it on tape and with decent picture/sound considering it's time. I must of watched it like 5 times and it still makes me laugh everytime. Wish they would of did it every year. It's actually part of a 3 VHS Tape set I have, all different Saturday Night's Main Events (full length tapes), priceless. I have been selling VHS tapes for years and recently started selling VHS tapes not too long on this message board site I made and my main Wrestling site as well. It's not listed on this site, I only listed 4 tapes so far, but if you want it, let me know.

"i remember this episode, watching heenan bobbing for apples he had chocalate sauce all over his face" credit: SavageRhodes
Lol, I remember that, that was great, the Brain was crazy but actually beat Cousin Jr. in the Bobbing for Apples in Chocolate Competition.
In the other "Apple Under the Chin Pass" Competition it was funny because the Brain kept cheating but didn't get caught, lol. Then later Randy was blaming Elizabeth for the loss because she bobbled and dropped the apple but it was really Bobby's fault, lol, "Classic".

Seein' as how I was only four years old when this aired, I didn't catch it when it aired. LOL But the descriptions sound absolutely hilarious. Usin' my imagination, though, I voted for Roddy Piper. The thought of him in a Halloween costume is hilarious anyway, but dressed as Superman...I'm sure it was a very memorable night.

They even had a skit were Piper was giving out candy to trick or treaters at his house. Lol, he gave them Bowling Balls wrapped in black plastic wrap with a stick coming out of it and told the kids they were Candy Apples (or Mene Gene before he gave them to the kids). Lol. He even took some of the kids Candy. He was like "Oh look at all the nice candy you have" then stuck his hand in their bags and took some, lol. Those were the days, great funny stuff, don't know why they only did this Halloween thing for one year. Truely great, the whole SNME.
