WWE has confirmed the decision that ECW house shows will be discontinued starting in December. The brand will still continue to tour, but they will be in conjunction with Smackdown house shows as of December. WWE's reason cited for this move was, "Sources say that WWE officials were concerned because the attendance at some of the ECW live events hasn't been as strong as initially projected." Paul Heyman also added, "Well, it's no secret that ECW does not have the resources that are available to RAW and SmackDown. We're too early into the relaunch of the brand and you can’t expect ECW to perform at the same level as RAW and SmackDown without the same budget, personnel and man-power." The recently released Francine Fournier is auctioning off several pieces of clothing that she wore during her short-lived WWECW stint, including the red dress she debuted in & posed for in her last photoshoot. Click here to see her eBay page.
As a reminder, the 10/31 ECW on Sci Fi was taped yesterday and the 11/7 show will be taped prior to tonight's RAW.
