It looks like Mick Foley could already be finished up with WWE. Matt Striker joined Todd Grisham once again tonight for commentary on ECW on Sci-Fi at tonight's tapings in Norfolk, Virginia. Tazz once again replaced Mick Foley on SmackDown as he worked tonight's taping with Jim Ross. I had originally heard that Foley was being held off TV last week to sell the beating that he took from Edge the week prior, however, it now looks like the move could be permanent.
Foley told Josh Stewart of the Long Island Press last week that "through mutual agreement" there was a good chance that he would "not be renewing" his WWE contract after it expired on September 1st because "the announcing job wasn't working out too well."

UPDATE: Mick Foley appears to be finished with World Wrestling Entertainment. Foley was unhappy working as a color commentator on SmackDown because he did not like how he was told to say certain things in certain situations. Based on everything that I have heard, the announce teams of Jim Ross and Tazz for SmackDown and Todd Grisham and Matt Striker for ECW will be permanent for the time being.
WWE officials continue to be pleased with the work of Matt Striker and feel that he is an adequate replacement for Tazz on ECW. Jim Ross likes working with Tazz and the feeling is that the loss of Foley on SmackDown will not be as big of a deal with Tazz doing color commentary.
Foley's last edition of SmackDown was on the August 1st edition of the show which is exactly one month before his WWE Legends contract expires.

If the wwe were trying to make him do things which he didnt want to then, i see no reason for him to stick around because it will obviously make him unhappy. And no body wants to be unhappy in their place of work.
