My favorite is Dr.J, a close 2nd is Iverson. Favorite 2 basketball players ever.
Wilt had to be the best Philly player ever though, winning a title in 1967 for the Philadelphia Warriors. He averaged 24 points, 24 rebounds, and 8 assists that season, lol, that's crazy. Hal Greer was second averaging 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. Billy Cunningham 18.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, was on that team as well and won a title as a player then and a coach in 1983, respect.
Wilt Chamberlain actually played in Philly for 7 seasons, and only 5 for LA. He won one title on both teams. He had his best statistical years in Philly, one year averaging 50 points and 25 rebounds a game. No wonder him and Jordan are the 2 best players ever, hands down. Also he had his famous 100 point game in a Philadelphia unform. Wilt is definitly Philly, not LA.

Yeah, Mo was a great "team player", was solid dribbling the ball and also stealing it from the other team.

I know I must be showing my age but Wilt was incredible. My dad played high school b-ball againt him (wilt played for Overbrook, my dad for West Philly). Also love Billy C, Hal Greer, Chet Walker, Luke Jackson. I become friends with Wally (now Walli) Jones, who I loved as "Wally Wonder" He works in the Community Realtions department for the Heat. Great Guy.

I wish I would of seen more of Wilt. In my opinion I think Wilt and Jordan are the 2 best ever. Billy Cunningham as a player and coach was great too.

Barkley wasn't a good role model. That's why he gets no love. I heard he spit a luger at a little girl at a game before. That's simply ridiculous.

Iceman..to this day, my dad always talks about playing aganist Chamberlin and how unstopable he was. The interesting thing is that he rarely won the city title when he played (only once I think) and then they couldn't beat the Catholic League champs. Years later, my dad introduced me to Wilt at a 76ers game at the old Convention Center (still, one of the biggest thrills of my life). I just finished reading the book "100" about the night Wilt scored 100 points in Hershey. Well worth the $25 investment.

easy. rex walters that guy was the first one in the door every morning and the last to leave. that guy was the hardest worker in the nba and he had a better jumpshot than shawn ivone.no kidding, this guy was really a class act. he honestly was one of my favorites of all time, even though he was the last man on the bench. he was also the first guy up to cheer on a teammates game winning shot and the first to pat a guy on the back and say we'll get 'em next time. seriously, 1st class all the way. i hope he becomes a coach one day
