Wrestlers Ages...Wow!!!
Did you know for example that Raven is actually a year older than Mick Foley? Mick Foley seems like he's been pretty much done Wrestling the last few years except for maybe 3 ECW type matches recently. While Raven has been TNA Heavyweight Champion and still Wrestling strong. Mick Foley is 41, doesn't he seem a lot older and worn out? I would think most Wrestlers at that age would still be Wrestling and at a high level. Raven is one year older at 42. You cann't say, well Mick has taken such a beating, because so has Sabu and Terry Funk for example, who's ages will suprise you too.
Also I used to think Sabu was the ageless wonder, kinda like Nolan Ryan of Baseball. Not the case, Sabu is only 42, once again I thought he was older, but he is definitely Wrestling at a high level still, surprisingly considering how much he puts his body on the line. He is still "extremely" entertaining today!!!
Rob Van Dam is 36, seems right, a good young age, and he still has a lot of Wrestling left. Hopefully he'll lead the future of Wrestling. He finally got the WWE Heavyweight Belt.
Scott Hall...Hey Yo...is 47, older than Mick Foley by 6 years...hmm.
Terry Funk has been Wrestling for a some time no doubt, but 61? Wouldn't of guessed that, geez, he just Wrestled at ECW One Night Stand too, lol.
Mike Awesome is 41, would of thought he was younger, looks it, and looks like he'd have a lot of life left in him too, more than most. Once again, same age as Foley, but who looks younger and will be Wrestling longer? Lol. Mike Awesome is a great powerhouse Wrestler that is surprisingly agile too.
Who's younger than all of them but hasn't really been Wrestling much anymore and thought to be more of a "behind the scenes" guy now a days? Well it's Tommy Dreamer, and he's only 35, only 35? So how come he's not Wrestling strong anymore or one of the main faces of ECW? Thought he would of been until I heard he didn't want to Wrestle much years ago but just do work in Wrestling like recruiting and training Wrestlers.
Stone Cold sure burned out as quickly as he exploded in the Wrestling scene for the WWE at age 41, he's really been done for the last 3-4 years (age 37), but it's not his fault, bad knees.
Would of thought Chris Benoit was older, but at the age of 39 it's safe to say he still has more fight left in him, which is a good thing for Wrestling.
How about some Heavyweights who have dominated the sport for several years, or decades, lol.
Abdullah the Butcher, wow, the "Human Wrestling Ball", he could take on an army, and win, lol. He's still Wrestling in Independent Leagues, seriously, surprisely, lol, and at the age of 69!!! Wow, respect for Abby. A great Wrestler for the sport who did so much in so many leagues and throughout the world.
How about new TNA star Sting? He's 47, seems about right. Is he getting his 2nd wind? Trying to catch up to Hogan's 4th wind? Lol.
Well the "Immortal One", Hulk Hogan, is 52, would of guessed 55, not too far off.
What about the "Macho Man", Randy Savage? Older or younger than Hogan? How about the same age, 52. Wouldn't of guessed that, but now that I think about it I wasn't sure what to think. Randy is about 3 months older than Hogan.
So where would the "Hot Rod", Roddy Piper fit in the mix of things after Randy and Hogan? Why not the same age too, lol, he's 52 also. I would of never guessed all 3 of them were the same age, lol. Actually I would of thought Piper was older, and that's why he stopped Wrestling way before them. But did he really ever Wrestle or was he more of a Comedian? A Comedian, so I would of thought he would of Wrestled a lot longer than both of them, not a lot less. Roddy is actually the youngest out of all 3 of them, he just turned 52 last month.
Scott Steiner, hmm, I would of guessed older than Sting and around the same age or close to Hogan, Savage, and Piper, not by looking at his arms and chest though, lol. Scott is actually only (compared to them that is), 43. That's a surprise to me. He's still fighting in TNA too, maybe he's still got some Wrestling left in him after all.
I forgot, the true agelss wonder, and at 57, and still puts on a good show in the ring, Ric "Woooo" Nature Boy Flair. Doing better than most I just listed recently too might I add, good for Ric, and still styling and profiling while just having fun, the way it should be.
I thought this was pretty interesting finding this stuff out. Anything suprise you? If anybody else has any interesting ages of Wrestlers post it here.
