I was starting to like the team of Coach, Lawler, and JR. Joey Styles would of been a great choice, or even if Vince came back in the booth, that would be great. I don't like the idea of having somebody do commantary that doesn't even follow the sport. I don't know Goldberg because I don't watch much UFC either.

I don't like the idea of Mike Goldberg commentating on WWE television either. Maybe if he wasn't taking anybody's spot, but come on! Nobody will ever be able to replace JR and though eventually somebody else will have to step in, I hope it's not this guy and I hope it's not now. Name: Carl Rumors on the Internet have been saying that you are going to be replaced on the RAW broadcast. WWE wants to have a younger broadcast team. Is this true? I am not sure of the exact reasons you mention, but the rumor is prominently making its rounds. Usually where there is smoke there is fire. Time will tell and I am sure we will all survive no matter the outcome and RAW will remain, by far, the No. 1 TV property in WWE. This matter may be best addressed at another time. I expect there to be more on this specific matter coming soon. I plan on kicking ass this Monday in Corpus Christi come hell or high water. Credit: October 7th Ross Report on wwe.com Whatever it is, from what JR said, it won't be an immediate thing, but it sounds like something that will happen in the near future, if it happens at all. I really am going to miss JR if he leaves. As far as calling the action like it is, he is the best the WWE has got and maybe the best the WWE has ever had. I doubt he will leave his behind the scenes post behind, but it still won't be the same without good 'ol JR.

JR will be missed, I don't think they should of got rid of him. He even bashed Ultimate Warrior for Vince. I think somehow recently JR must of got under Vince's skin or had an agreement. Then again, I heard JR will be doing the webcast for RAW on the website. So maybe actually Vince only wanted him on webcast because he knew he'd do a great job and bring more viewers to the website to watch RAW?
But say JR was really fired for good from the WWE and never to return, then why would he allow himself to be fired in front of everybody on RAW. Like he really didn't know? Lol. It's gotta be a work or something. Or later Vince will say somebody had to go, we will keep JR but only for RAW webcast duties, not TV commentary duties anymore.

Well WWE screws up again.
Mike Goldberg has turned them down. So now RAW and The WWE is short on Lead Announcer.
Now WWE can actualy do something right for a change they need a replacment for JR and someone who knows something about Wrestling.
They have 4 such guys under contract at this time.
Joey Styles
Paul Heyman
Dusty Rhoads (I always liked him as a Comentator in WCW)
"Mean" Gean Okalund (Provideing his Health is up to it)
Also Arn Anderson was good as a WCW Commentator during the InVasion so he could do the job.
2 guys they could hire in
Tony Schvarnoie (sp)
Scott Hudson
Or Vince could swollow his pride and hire back Randy Savage or Jesse Venturea

Really, lol, that's funny, Vince fired JR and now Goldberg doesn't even want to come, nice, lol.
How is Joey Styles still under contract? Did all the ECW Wrestlers who had contracts carry over into the WWE? And if Joey still is under contract why is he doing nothing with the WWE? I thought I heard Joey is going to UFC though.
All the choices you mentioned would be great Ricky, but some of them couldn't do play by play, simply just add comments during matches I feel.

Joey Styles has been under WWE Contract since One Night Stand.
He Presentes WWE 24/7: ECW Section.
UFC won't touch him just like they wouldn't Mike Tenney He's associated with Pro-Wrestling.
Typical WWE by the way Joey's contract forbids him to do any Play By Play for any other Pro-Wrestling Organisations even though WWE only use him for a webcast.

They could also hire Mike Tenay, if they want to wait 9 months until his contract expires, but I can't see Tenay leaving TNA.

Oh, I definitely think it’s definitely a work, Ice. I just don’t think it’s a very good one. JR also does a LOT of stuff backstage like finding new talent and whatnot, so I’m pretty sure they haven’t completely gotten rid of him. I also think he owns quite a major portion of the WWE in stocks. Not positive on that one, but I think I read it somewhere. I’m sure he’ll be doing the commentary on the RAW Webcast like you said.
I have also come up with a novel idea. They could end up leaving commentary to King and Coach, though I’m not sure how that would work out. It would probably be way too one-sided. I definitely think Rhodes, Heyman, or "Mean" Gene would be the best guys for the job seeing as pretty much everybody else is unavailable or unwilling. Oh, you know what? RVD could do the commentary until he gets ready to come back from his injury. They could take him off and replace him with somebody else (maybe JR could come back?!?!) a couple of months before-hand so it would be a bigger comeback when it actually happens, but until then he could do the commentary. I think he'd be fairly good at it. I mean, it’s an idea. They did the same thing with Lita on Sunday Night Heat after she broke her neck.
What I don’t see is why Vince would do this in the first place. If he wanted to put somebody on the RAW Webcast, he should have put Coach there instead of JR. I’m sure he has some other reason for getting rid of JR, because it really doesn’t make much sense, though I don’t think anybody ever accused Vince of doing things because they make sense.

Thanks Ricky, didn't know that, they should use Joey more though than just ECW Commentary on 24/7.
Mike Tenay is good, I always liked him, but he is in TNA, and there for 9 months like you said, lol, they wouldn't wait for 9 months just to get him when there's plenty of other people out there now.
Good idea with RVD Amber, that could work, and its certainly been long enough since we've seen RVD so it would be cool to see him do commantary.
Well the only thing I can think of is that if Vince really wants this webcast of RAW to work to it's potential on the website, having somebody like JR would probably be a good idea to get it started if it's gonna grow since it sounds like people like him the most.

Sounds like it could possibly be Crohns Disease where they have to take part of the intestines away as the digestive system isn't working properly. Hope Jim makes a full recovery.

Geez, that's ashame, and also explains why Vince got JR off the WWE (fired) because he was having health problems. Now I understand, but am sorry JR has to go through this.
