Shawn Michaels Unhappy With WWE Management
Source: PWTorch Newsletter 09/10/05
As of late Shawn Michaels has been becoming a regular at WWE production meetings. HBK recently spoke his mind on the creative team's apparent failure, in his opinion, to have anything better for him than Chris Masters after his loss to Hogan at SummerSlam. However, despite his opinion on the matter, Michaels has handled the situation professionaly in a manner comparable to that of his handling of the Hogan SummerSlam fued.
HBK isn't the only veteran wrestler to regularly attend WWE production meetings. Other wrestlers regularly in attendance are Triple H (obviously) and The Undertaker.

Well I sure don't blame HBK, after having to lose to Hogan in the Biggest Event in a while they should of at least gave HBK a strong run. I really don't understand why he is not the Heavyweight Champion in the WWE. Anybody know when the last time he was? I think it has been to long over due for him, Kurt Angle as well. I think either of them should of been Champions instead of JBL or Batista.

I'm not sure, but I think it's been a couple of years since HBK was champ. I agree with you though. I think he deserves better storylines than what they've been throwing at him lately. I don't think Masters is good enough to have someone like HBK jobbing for him. I think Batista makes a pretty good champ, but I don't know how somebody like JBL could hold the title for as long as he did while Shawn was over on RAW, well, not holding the title, lol. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Simply doesn't make any sense Amber why HBK isn't getting any respect or Belts lately. Even I have given HBK respect the last couple of years and that's saying a lot for me.
Now Bret Hart, I still don't think I ever can.

I give respect to Bret for what he did in the WWE, but not for how he moaned and complained about the "Montreal Screw Job" for soooo long. It's like, "Dude, get a life, get over it, move on!"
As far as Shawn Michaels, I think he's earned a right to voice his disagreements with the Creative staff. The man's been around for forever and a day, so I'd assume he'd have some say-so in the direction of his character, but obviously not. Now that's he through with Chris Masters (after tonight's AWESOME PPV), maybe we'll see him back up fightin' the main-event Superstars. Hell, even a feud with Ricky Flair would be great!

A feud with Ric Flair would probably be good, but for the IC Belt? Lol, that would look bad for both of those Stars to be fighting over that.
I actually liked Flair and HBK together on the last RAW I think it was.

Orrrr, maybe Shawn and Ricky Flair could be buddy-buddy the next couple weeks, and when Triple H makes his return, that's when he turns heel on Flair for bein' friends with what most see as Hunter's mortal enemy.

I think management take the view that Shawn Michaels doesn't need the belt to be over and that it makes more sense to have it on an up and coming talent. In the days of the Monday Night Wars the champion was very much the focus of the shows, understandably, but I don't think this is necessarily the case anymore and a lot more time goes into building other angles for example Summerslam was built around 1) Hogan v HBK, 2) Eddie v Rey and 3) Matt v Edge with Cena/Jericho and Batista/JBL an afterthought.
Cena is getting more over by holding the belt wheras Shawn wont - he's at the peak of his popularity. That's why Angle wont win the feud with Cena either.

I hate how they do that to some wrestlers though because sometimes even if they are popular, they deserve it more. The fans want to see them with the belt. Shawn may get huge pops from the crowd, but if he had the belt they'd still be bigger. I think a lot of the time, not necessarily in this case, but a lot of the time, they avoid putting the belt on somebody because they're already over with the crowd, but after a while their popularity begins to slowly dwindle and people don't care as much about that person, so neither does the WWE because they are focusing on somebody else, who doesn't deserve the title half as much. I'm not saying Cena doesn't deserve the title. I like Cena. I just think it's not fair to only give newer guys or guys that need a popularity boost the belt. I dunno. I don't make much sense, I guess, but that's how I feel.

HBK won't turn heel because of his religious beliefs. WWE has asked him countless times and he has refused. The only reason he turned heel to feud with Hogan was, well, it's Hogan, right? He has to be the top face in WWE when he's there.

The Last time Shawn Michaels held a world championship was. Survivor Series 2002 Maybe there will be enough fan votes where Shawn Michaels gets in the triple threat match at Taboo Tuesday!!
