- TNA World Champion Sting has been telling people that he will be retiring at the end of this year.
Some people within TNA believe Sting has been using the retirement card as a way to get a raise from the company. Dixie Carter wants to keep Sting around TNA, even though Jeff Jarrett wasn't big on re-signing Sting last year.
Sting has a very nice contract with TNA, as he doesn't have to work the house shows or international dates and still receives premium pay.

Sting is 48! You get bumped around for 21 years and you might want to quit. I am sure Sting has lots enough money if he invested properly.

Sting is doing great in TNA and him and Angle really help TNA go against the WWE. They need to keep Sting no doubt!!!

A thought in my head makes me think on this that it could be a way to get Jeff Jarrett back on TNA TV if Sting retires. Jarrett can come back after that stipulation to last year's "Bound for Glory" PPV. IMO if Sting is out of the picture in TNA. Jarrett can come back into the picture to have him fued with Kurt Angle.
I would love to see Jarrett vs Angle!

I'd love to see him kept on as a trainer or booker. TNA need a training facility
(Maybe Booker's PWA company)??

Stings is an important part of TNA like Iceman said its important they try to hang on to him if possible. I know hes 48 and not the athlete he was but hes still extremely popular and TNA needs that kind of star power to compete with the WWE. Although I dont know why WWE is so popular as its nothing but a circus of troublemakers and no where near what it used to be.

I don't think he will retire. Take some time away from pro wrestling to spend with his family is more like it. I don't think it's a money issue. I could be wrong, but if he really wanted more money he would find a way to co exist in the WWE with Vince McMahon as his boss.
Sting vs The Undertaker would be nice to see before both of them do retire.
I just wish there was a way for Vince McMahon, and TNA to agree to have some of the big TNA Stars be apart of WrestleMania. It would be cool to see that happen once out of the year!

Although I dont know why WWE is so popular as its nothing but a circus of troublemakers and no where near what it used to be. True Scotty, I don't know why it is either. People still think it's the "in" thing or "cool", when the WWE is pretty bad, lol. TNA has so many stars now, but they still need to get rid of the X Division and lightweights, they are holding back TNA. That way we can just see good matches all around. WWE doesn't put so much effort into the lightweights, or simply doesn't waste time with them, lol. TNA needs to learn that. And yeah Scotty, TNA definitely needs that star power that Sting and Kurt bring!!! Good idea Desert if Jarrett came back to help replace Sting. But I have a feeling Sting will be back! Lol. Geez, has Jarrett finished his 2 year break yet? Lol. Jarrett is good in TNA no doubt! I actually like him.

i personally think Jarrett got a LOT of heat cause he was a young player trying to be a BIG impact in WCW. i know a few people would actually ask me, "Who is this guy" and "Why is he acting like he's the Sh!t?" and that made me think, even back then, that Jeff may have the same reaction or feeling in the WCW locker room. (Especially seeing the fact he came from WWF the night before wrestling Chyna for the IC strap)

Sting has always been my favorite, if anything he has honed his ring skills to make up anything lost. Jeff Jarret is also very good and missed. The WWE is getting stupider by the week . Reading Brett Hart's book opens your eyes to what people are really like. Triple H is an example of a steroid freak who is above the law. My wife was saying AJ's character is a little stupid, especially with being a great athlete. They are focusing too much on the X and womens division now. I really liked when Sting called Angle a gym teacher, my wife still calls him that. Iceman what do you think of Lethal's Macho impression and bringing in SoCal Val as his Elizabeth? Macho is another one missed. Bret had nothing but good things to say about him. Wrestling is a hard road, I am glad I never took it now.

I hear ya Nemisis, I actually never liked Jarrett until now in TNA, lol. I think his role and character in TNA being the top notch villian swinging a guitar was really good. He had some good comedy skits as well. Dam it's been a while, lol.
NWA AWA. Sting will go down as one of the best/biggest Wrestling Stars. Also one of the few who never sold out to the evil empire (the WWE) for money, gotta respect that.
Yeah, AJ was doing good in TNA and looked like he had a bright future. But I'm not liking his character either, in fact, now it's taking up too much time in TNA I think, lol.
Jay Lethal doing Macho Man is funny at times I think, lol. Better than nothing since we don't have the Macho Man yeah know, and at least helps us remember Savage. Do you like him? I haven't seen SoCal Val to tell you the truth. Cool Bret had good things to say about Randy Savage, I didn't know that.

SoCal is the red head usually at ringside, looks old fashion classy like Elizabeth. I like him alot better than most of the other X division characters. Him and the guns are best of the X division. Booker T is another good addition, supposedly pushed out by HHH's massive ego. I think TNA needs to move their storylines along quicker. I will be elaborating on the talent who Brett Hart said wasn't worth a crap in the other thread. Go TNA!
