I am going with the Bulldogs. They were just pure technical wizards who gave everyone a run for their money. They should've had longer/multiple titles in the WWE.

I'd almost have to call it a toss up between the Harts and Demolition. One thing is for sure, this thread has made me realize how much I miss good tag team wrestling. It's teams like those on this list that made the tag team titles mean something.

I'm gonna say the Hart Foundation, they did whatever it took to win, and Jimmy Hart at times made sure of that too, lol. That's the only time I liked Bret, when he was in the Hart Foundation, but I still liked Jimmy Hart and Jim the Anvil more than him.
Mine favorite out of those Tag-Teams has to be The Colossal Connection because of Andre and Heenan, unfortunitly I didn't see much of them though, I simply wasn't into Wrestling as much then.
The Road Warriors were great, but didn't seem right to me in the WWF.

Hawk & Animal weren't really there Road Warrior selves as LOD in the WWF. They were past there primes and starting lose skills. So they weren't at there best. Now put a 80s Road Warriors against the WWF tag scene.....it would have been ugly.

The Road Warriors of the mid to late 80s in the AWA and NWA was the most intimidating team in wrestling in that time. Next to the Freebirds and Hart Foundation IMO they were the best. The LOD of the WWF was no where near the force with age and loss of skills and the teams were younger and very skilled like the New Age Outlaws who actually IMO won the fights with the Road Warriors. But as Alpha said put the 80s Warriors in that same match with the New Age Outlaws and the matches would have been very different in the end.

G-d bless Andre, he was a true legend, but that tag team blew chunks. I don't think Haku ever recovered, to be honest. Haku recovered somewhat in WCW as Meng. Haku was one of the toughest guys in the business. As was Andre. Two good guys...but the only reason they had the belts was as a tribute to Andre to end his active career. He deserved a title for sure, but not the tag straps. Beating Perfect for the IC belt might have been better. Yeah, good point Alpha, Haku did recover as Meng, and Meng may have been even bigger than Haku ever was. Geez, WCW sure gave Meng some power and made him seem unstoppable at a time, too much power I say, lol. Well the Heavyweight Belt would look best around Andre, then the Tag-Team Belt (wasn't bad), but not the IC Belt, not a man (or Giant) that did so much for the sport and was so big just to get the IC Belt, Andre deserved more and defintily not the 2nd Belt in the WWF.

How true Finkle, how true, there were so many great Tag-Teams back then, now the Tag-Team Divison means nothing and there's no good competition, unfortunitly, but this we already know and have for the last 5 years or so. The Tag-Team Division just gets worse every year, just like the WWE itself. Lol, no doubt the Road Warriors of the AWA/NWA were 100 times better and considered one of the best (or strongest) ever in Professional Wrestling. They lost half their power in the WWF, or Vince made it look that way I think is really part of it not letting them do their true destruction of Wrestlers like they used to.

So true I would put those tag teams against any of todays and it would be a real laugher from bell to bell. I mean the Steiners, Arn & Tully Blanchard, Road Warriors, British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, the Samoans, Midnight Express, Rock n Roll Express, and the Warlord & Barbarian all these teams and many more were twice as good as the teams of today. I miss seeing the matches between alot of these teams and it will never get back to the way it was sadly.

You can imagine my gut-churning shock when the L.O.D. debuted on the June 25th, 1990 taping of the W.W.F. Superstars of Wrestling wearing ... orange. I said, "Holy sh*t, the Road Warriors are finished. They are now a cartoon-like marketable brand of merchandising tool." The men that ravaged the Freebirds, Bundy & Rude, Baron Von Rashcke, Curt Hennig, Greg Gagne, Tully & Arn, The Midnight Express, The Powers of Pain, etc., has now been reduced to another W.W.F. gimmick. And one that was really sad, to be honest. Most of their opponents would have been prelim bums on TBS or ESPN back in the day.

I guess we're lucky to have some of those days on tape (or DVD) at least to remember and once again see when Wrestling was truely great.

The Nasty Boys were really awesome and very fun to watch. I wished I could have seen them take on the teams like the Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, New Age Outlaws, and Dudleyz. Teams that I would consider the tops teams from today. Another team I really liked was the team of The Barbarian and Warlord. These guys were beast and so overpowering it was really amazing to see them display their power in the ring.

Biggest problem with the Powers of Pain was that they could never play the backstage politics game. Otherwise, they would have had a few tag title reigns in their history.
