Will TNA ever give WWE any competition? Will Ted Turner buy TNA and build it up?
Ted Turner's "no competition" clause in his contract is over now so he could buy TNA if he wants. That would be great. Somebody with his money could buy TNA or even start another league with say the "Macho Man" and Goldberg. There are really so many great wrestlers out there that aren't signed: "Macho Man", Goldberg, 2 Cold Scorpio, Big Poppa Pump, Rick Steiner, Moon Dog "Spot", Hulk Hogan, Lex Lugar, Sting, the Cat, the Roc, Sid Vicious, the Honky Tonk Man, Bret Hart, Leaping Lennie Poffo, Tommy Dreamer, Buff Bagwell, Norman Smiley, Ralfus, the Ultimate Warrior, Sandman, Mike Awesome, Virgil, Ricky Steamboat, and Disco Inferno, just to name a few. WWE is just so weak now or ever since WCW and WWE's merger. I'd rather see who's fighting in Dave Griffiths backyard instead or which kid in diapers is cutting their grass this time.

Simply no NWA will never be able to compete. The NWA brand is old and boring. Their wrestlers are way beyond has beens. The fact they pay ridiculous amounts per week to guys who can't wrestle properly anymore and the fact that storylines are boring and one demensional means they will never challenge WWE on any leveL. Put it simply if any TNA wrestler was offered a decent contract from WWE who wouldnt take it?

the people in tna are the best wrestlers around. who would want to watch the wwe? classic wwe,...we build someone up, who is nothing, we give him main event status for 6 months, then he's fighting to win the intercontinental belt a week later, real smart. mcmahon really needs some competition,...that's why tna is SO much better.

I enjoy watching WWE and i also enjoy watching TNA. For me WWE is number one because they have so many talented wrestlers over both shows. Yeah sometimes the booking is up its a$$ but they nearly always come good in the end. I could easily miss an episode of TNA and not worry too much about it but i couldn't do that with WWE.

I have always enjoyed and always will enjoy WWE cause they are the best! Tna have some good talent but compare that with WWE and they have no chance. If TNA ever decide to try and compete with WWE they need more money, more popularity and better talent. But then even if they get all that, i still think they have NO CHANCE IN HELL

If Turner does come back into the business, then buying TNA would be more logical because it already has a solid following which would give him an increased chance of success.

WWE have an established fanbase which has been built up since it's WWWF days in the 1960's. I'm a big TNA fan but they have alot of work to do to even compete on a low level with WWE. Once they are on Spike they will finally have a platform to compete but I strongly advise against directly competing with WWE.

-- See ...
This is one of the main reasons I f*cking hate Vince.
He turned the business upside down and FORCED everyone to compete.
Now because of him, any company that shows potential will automatically be compared to the great, almighty WWE: Where Wrestling's Extinct.
As far as TNA goes, I would like to see them succeed so I have another wrestling option to watch. I love watching TNA wrestling matches over WWE ones, because WWE matches are all "manufactured" - the talent is told to wrestle a certain way. Where as in TNA or RoH or any other place, there's no limits to what you can do. Take the "Vertibreaker" for example, that's an illegal manouver in the WWE, you'd probably get fired for attempting that move (unless you're Rey Jr, you'd just get a dock from your pay). But anywhere else, the Vertibreaker is alive and well. That's just 1 example.
However I won't cry if TNA sinks, because that means the World Heavyweight Championship will return to the NWA Board of Directors (as will the Tag Team Championships) - and I almost prefer a BoD picking & choosing who's good enough to be NWA Champion, regardless how "over" they may/may not be.

TNA doesn't have t.v. and if TNA doesn't have t.v. they won't be able to compete with WWE.

Still waiting to see it, lol. Plus if it's only on Fridays or Saturdays like I think they said it will be I won't be able to watch it. Rather it be on a week night or Sunday night.

TNA is a great brand of wrestling to watch. They offer a breath of fresh air to what has become a monopoly by the WWE. Yeah, their roster isn't as star-driven as the WWE's, but that doesn't mean those wrestlers can't put on a great show. I'm quickly becoming an avid fan of theirs, because they offer something different to watch. The reason a start-up company is compared to the WWE is because the WWE is still around on a national level. Not too many newer wrestling fans know anything about the NWA, or the history that they have. All that is seen is Monday Night RAW, or Smackdown, or Velocity, or Heat. The WWE, through all the ups and downs, has managed to stick around and show that they can put on a great program that millions of people watch week in and week out. I am a loyal WWE fan (to a fault, sometimes), I have been for almost 11 years now, and I always will be. I was a WCW fan for years (until their downward slide around late-1999/early-2000), but they never did for me what WWE did. TNA, however, is giving me great Superstars, new wrestlers with amazing skills, and old wrestlers who *obviously* still have a passion for the business. TNA is growing strong: from weekly PPV's, to Fox Sports Network, to weekly shows on RealPlayer, and now to Spike TV. I think that, if they can prove they can bring in strong ratings on Spike TV (granted, their timeslot sucks), then maybe'll they'll get a better slot on the channel, and eventually provide some stiff competition for the WWE. Fans can only deal with one company for so long, as proved by the constant b*tching about how sh!tty the WWE currently is. I think that, over the next five or six years, TNA will become a competitor with the WWE. As far as whether Ted Turner should buy TNA...no, not under any circomestances. WCW was ran by people who knew nothing about wrestling. Ted Turner only liked Nitro because it was his first major project, but his heart wasn't in it like Vince McMahon's was/is. TNA should stick with their current investor, and current management. They've been doin' a great job so far, and I think they'll become larger with time. The best things come in due time, in my opinion.
