Wow, Sid winning the title from Bret, must of been a good day, I like that and Sid.
NWO's second run in the WWE, that was a good time too, they had some great skits when they first met the Rock and Stone Cold.
Nice Scotty.

Today sixteen years ago I went to see the W.W.F. at the Montreal Forum. I expected a mediocre undercard with a cool main event. It turned out to be an atrocious undercard with a cool main event. That main event being Hulk Hogan and Big Boss Man (until a few weeks earlier, his mystery partner) against Mr. Perfect & The Genius. Boss Man had just turned face and it was cool to see him team with his former arch-nemesis. Sadly, they wiped the floor with Lanny Poffo & Perfect. I didn't care about Poffo so much, but I saw doom and gloom in the future of Perfect if he was going to go from no losses on his record to a red-headed stepchild mid-carder.
The opener was pretty good. "Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez, who was SO underused during his short W.W.F. stay, defeated dependable ol' Paul Roma (this was a few months before Roma's heel turn in Power & Glory).
Koko B. Ware lit the Forum on fire and beat "Playboy" Buddy Rose, a little past his prime but always very, very entertaining.
Hacksaw Duggan teamed with The Rockers to beat The Powers of Pain & Mr. Fuji. Always fun to think back to Shawn Michaels in his pre-Clique days. What I remember most about this match, and any Powers of Pain - Rockers matches I saw, were the incredible high back bodydrops Shawn took from Warlord. As Gorilla said, "He put him in the lights that time."
Terry Taylor subbed for, I think, Hilbilly Jim, and lost to Bad News Brown. Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Roddy Piper and Rick Rude tussed in a Lumberjack bout, with Piper winning when his WrestleMania VI foe Bad News Brown interfered.
Tito Santana defeated local favorite and former Dino Bravo manager Frenchie Martin.
Some of it looks good on paper, but I remember this as one of the worst house shows at the Forum I'd been to. Contrast that with one year earlier (March 10th, 1989), easily one of the absolute best I'd been to. Maybe tomorrow I should post that show on this thread.

Today in 1993 at the Forum:
Tatanka continued his climb to the top with a win over Rick Martel.
The true attraction of the evening, Doink the Clown lost to Crush.
Virgil beat "Terrific" Terry Taylor. Maybe the Apocalypse is coming.
Poor old Tito Santana defeated Coolio DeMento. Excuse me, El Matador!
From the "They Made Their Name in Other Promotions" file, "The Narcissist" Lex Luger & Mr. Perfect fought to a double-countout.
In a great encounter, The Steiner Bros. defeated The Beverly Brothers. Too bad in a way; I loved the Beverlys when they were The Destruction Crew in the A.W.A.
The main event saw The Undertaker defeat Yokozuna by disqualification. Lucky for us, these two had the same match about 1500 times in the span of a year. BANZAI!
